Today students worked in groups to create satirical advertisements for Antigua that portrayed Jamaica Kincaid's tone in A Small Place. If absent, follow the instructions below to create an advertisement on a regular piece of paper and give to Mrs. Santos after the break.

•Pretend you are Kincaid tasked with creating a tourism advertisement for Antigua in poster form. 

•Create a print advertisement (poster form) that satirically conveys Kincaids tone toward tourists in Antigua, based on your knowledge you’ve gained from reading her excerpt of A Small Place. 

•Your poster MUST meet the following requirements:

•Use of Text

•Use of Images 

•Use of Color

•Demonstrate understanding of Kincaid’s satirical tone toward tourists

•Use at least 2 advertising techniques and 1 rhetorical appeal accurately in your ad.
